What is our response-ability? It is the commitment and sensitivity to yield to the Holy Spirit every moment of our life. It is the 'chance conversations' we have with a total stranger, the door that we open to the mother who has all her groceries and her children occupying the same space, the kind word and smile to someone who is in a hurry, the hug and kiss that follows after a disappointment, the call to share God's Love and His Good News with anyone we will encounter today. Would anyone notice? Why do it? It is His Love that compels us as we open our hearts to Him. It is a total abandonment to His Will.
Lord, help us to pursue passionately after You. You came so that we could have Life! You've done Your part. It is up to us to choose this abundant Life.
Thank you for even in the midst of the 'heat' You can still use us to share Your love with others.

The Weaver
My life is but a weaving betwix the Lord and me,
I do not choose the color - He worketh steadily.
Offtimes He weaveth sorrow and I in foolish pride,
Forget He sees the upper, and I the underside.
Not till the loom is silent, and the shuttle cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful in the Weaver's skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.

Lord,
If I say I am willing to follow You, how far would I go? What if I go through the valley of the shadow of death and my hopes are only met with sorrow and disappointment? How far will I go when You call me to Your fellowship of suffering?
You know my heart, My Lord and Savior. Lead me all the way and present me faultless in Your Presence for Your Glory and with exceeding Joy!

Waiting on You
Whenever we pray, it is so much easy to hear a yes or a no from the Lord; however there are times He whispers '"wait". Our first instinct is to ask how long? when will the answer come? will it be what I prayed and expected for? And just as He only knows us, He says, "Will you trust Me?" He knows best. We have before us the choice to obey in faith trusting Him completely, unconditionally. And every time we choose Him, He will pour out His Peace, His Joy and abundant, victorious life!
Lord, I choose to trust You until Your answer comes.

The Passion of My Life
When we pray for God's will in our lives, He truly creates a place -an answer- with His own Hands. I know He is able to answer my prayers above and beyond I ever thought or imagined! Take for example the way He went about helping me find a job after 17 years of being at home serving my family. Each step of the way was like the parting of the Red Sea; He prepared every detail and put every piece of the puzzle in His rightful place and perfect timing. I have now rediscovered and reaffirmed His calling upon my life. I am not just a wife, mom, teacher, friend, sister, etc.; I am not what I "do" , but I am what I am "being" in Him. As long as I am in the center of His perfect will, wherever He places me and calls me to do, He reminds me I am here to serve and please Him alone. It does not matter what I am doing or where I am, the passion of my life is truly doing the will of my Father. May He find me ready when He calls me Home.

A Place His Hand Has Made
I only desire what Your hands have planned for me ( Jeremiah 29:11). Will you , Lord, bind this offering of waiting upon you to your altar? Wrap it with your precious blood that paid for all my sins. Put Your scarlet cord of redemption so that I won't be tempted to grow discouraged or doubt Your will. Empty me and let Your love fill me to overflow so that I can surrender and consecrate my will to Yours. I choose to lay this offering and give you praise!

Daily Bread
The Word of God and Prayer are a lot alike. They both are something we 'ought' to do daily. They both are manna which we must collect daily but cannot keep in 'reserve' for tomorrow. They are daily Bread for our needs and the needs of others. Fresh Word! Fresh Prayer! Do not offer the Lord 'old bread' nor partake of it!
Bring to Him our daily offerings. Be diligent to present yourself approved .... ( 2 Tim 2:15)! And remember:
No Prayer - no power
No Prayer - no revelation
No Prayer - no wisdom/direction
No Prayer - no peace...
It is when we are on our 'knees', a surrendered heart, that we gain His strength, His power, His joy, His victory!

The Joy of 'Unanswered' Prayers
I am a living testimony of the power of prayer. I stand here as the result of those who faithfully and constantly prayed and pray for me. May God reward them in heaven. I am able to testify of the power of prayer on my behalf and on behalf of others. I have no sucess without God's enabling power to pray for and in every situation. This too is the result of the One who stands to make intercession for me..
I have learned to enjoy the process God takes me through as I lift up my requests to Him (Phil 4:4,6). The answer is His to determine. I can truly experience His victory in the midst of 'unanswered' prayers and know His gentle touch to mold me and others while He gets us ready and conformed to His Will. You see there really is not such a thing as 'unanswered' prayers. He knows and holds the past, present and future. We pray not to change His will but to conform to His will. I can rest in His answer whatever that may be.
May you know and experience the joy and victory of daily communing with Him. And may you know the width, length and height of all that God has stored for those who humble themselves and pray. BECOME A PRAY-ER!!

Waiting on God
My first time using this forum. I wish I could write about 'happy' incidents but this is not the case. I find myself wondering what God is doing at this time in my life. I do admit I am not one for 'changes' and frankly the stretching is hurting a bit right now- I am the original biggest baby!. Nevertheless, I know He has lessons for me to learn, and I thank Him for what He is going to accomplish ( Psalm 145:19) I refuse to give into the disappointments and expectations of others. I will continue to thank Him for the answer He has prepared for me. I put my hope on the One who has not nor will ever disappoint me. As He prepares me for when His answer comes, He will find me waiting on Him and ready to do His will
Psalm 42:11
P.S. I also hope to follow The Adventures of the Three Amigas, pray for them and for their moms!
